I need feminism because “Who hired a stripper” shouldn’t be the first thing said to me when I walk into a welding job.
women in trades are treated like such fucking shit.
NO I’M STILL STUCK ON THIS WHY WOULD ANYONE SAY THIS TO A WOMAN HOLDING A BLOWTORCH
I might take some heat for this, from y’all but here it is. The problem is women being sensitive. I used to work in construction and part of my current job entails at times visiting job sites.
In said professions you attain acceptance by being able to have your balls busted and to fire back with quick whit and laugh about it.
Men on job sites are verbally BRUTAL to each other! What this is, is women saying “Treat me equal” and complaining when we “treat them equal.”
On job sites, the short guys knows he is the short guy, the fat guys knows he is the fat guy, the guy that is kind of dim and doesn’t get the jokes knows he is the dim guy.
Why should women be treated any different. If you can handle the verbal culture entailed on a job then stay the fuck out of it.
The women that are bothered by this should get office jobs where you need to be polite and proper.
The way I speak to people in my office is nothing close to the way I speak to people when my employer sends to talk to trades people. In my office it’s please, thank you, yes sir, how does this work?
On site , “Fuck this, fuck that, fuck you, how the fuck should I know that…, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?”
Example : One summer in college I got a job in a manufacturing shop. Since I was the new guy I had to be hazed.
My lead hand : “Hey you look tired, are you some kind of fucking burn out. You don’t look too bright.”
Me “No, I am rather bright, I was just up all night fucking your wife while you slept”
co-workers “Ohhhhhhhh Awwwwweeeeee”
Then he proceeds to tackle me, or try to anyway, and give me a wedge. I fought him off and said “I should have known you’d be the kind of guy that would go right for a guys ass on the first date”
Every one laughed, I held my own. I stood out among all the other new guys and the lead hand and I became friends.
The problem isn’t men and “needing” feminism. The problem is feminism telling girls to ask for equality then teach them to complain when they want special conditions to that equality.
The girl should just say “Oh.. who called the village idiot to the job?” or “even if I was your broke ass could not afford or handle me”
Stand your ground
